Beachwalk is an abstracted view of a shoreline alive with movement—drawn from the quiet rhythm of seabirds gathering, lifting, and resettling along the water’s edge. Through scattered, gestural marks that suggest motion, spacing, and flow, the composition reads like a shifting field. Light, airy, and in constant flux, forms appear and disappear like birds skimming across the surface of the tide.

The palette is intentionally restrained, built on layered whites and soft greys, punctuated by small, darker accents and touches of warm, sandy ochre. Acrylic paint creates a veil of overlapping shapes, while graphite and charcoal introduce line, structure, and subtle contrast. These materials work together to create depth without heaviness—allowing the surface to feel light, textured, and atmospheric, with just enough definition to guide the eye.

At 40" x 40", this piece works well as a quiet statement in a room. It’s especially suited for coastal or modern interiors where a neutral palette is key, but where a sense of movement is still desired. Placed in a living room, bedroom, or entryway, the work will add softness and visual interest without overpowering the space. It pairs naturally with light woods, stone, linen, and other organic materials, making it an easy anchor for spaces that aim to feel relaxed, layered, and connected to the outdoors.
