I find the way forms in nature seem to exist in a state of becoming endlessly intriguing. Petals unfurl, riverbanks shift, and clouds gather and disperse, yet there is a quiet logic beneath the movement. In Suspended Forms, I wanted to explore that sense of transition—forms suspended between emergence and dissolution, connection and separation. Soft shapes drift across the surface, linked by looping gestures that suggest growth, movement, and change, inviting the viewer to slow down and discover relationships that unfold over time.

Built through layers of acrylic paint, graphite, charcoal, and hand-stitched tapestry wool, the work reflects my ongoing exploration of the patterns and rhythms that organize the natural world. Atmospheric blues, warm neutrals, and touches of ochre create a palette that feels both airy and grounded. Painted forms merge, separate, and overlap, while stitched passages introduce a tactile presence that reinforces the handmade nature of the work. The surface is intentionally delicate and dimensional, encouraging tension between the painted gesture and the materiality of the wool, to remind us that being human is both ethereal and physical at the same time.

At 36" x 48", Suspended Forms brings a sense of calm movement and understated sophistication to an interior. Its soft palette and layered materiality make it especially well-suited for contemporary, modern organic, coastal, and transitional spaces where texture and craftsmanship are valued. Whether placed in a living room, bedroom, office, or entryway, the painting offers a quiet visual rhythm that continues to unfold with repeated viewing.
